Write a letter to newspapers, magazines
If you’re a letter-writer, you can educate the media about American refugees.
Here’s a sample idea:
Did you know that over 400 Americans fled the US to apply for asylum abroad in 2006? Did you know that the number of Americans seeking asylum sharply increased during the Bush Administration? Do you know that hundreds of Americans are now stranded in asylum systems overseas?
